Imam Ayman Soliman is an imam and Muslim chaplain in the Cincinnati area. He received his Islamic education, both formal and informal, in Egypt. He holds an MA in Islamic studies and is pursuing a master of divinity in Islamic studies and Muslim chaplaincy as well as a PhD. in Islamic law and ethics. He served as the imam in multiple mosques before focusing on chaplaincy. Ayman has served as the graduate students’ Muslim chaplain at Northwestern University, the Muslim chaplain at the Oregon Department of Corrections, and the Muslim chaplain at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Ayman is a member of the board of directors at the Initiative on Islam and Medicine. He is also a member of the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of North America, the Association of Muslim Chaplains, and the North America Imams Fellows. His areas of interest include Islamic law, Islamic biomedical ethics, chaplaincy, interfaith relations and addressing Islamophobia.
