Jackie Royce, a Louisville native, earned her Bachelor of Music in instrumental performance from the University of Louisville. She plays with several orchestras in the region, including the Louisville Orchestra, and has played internationally in Poland, Costa Rica and Switzerland. Jackie is a member of the art-rock band Ut Gret and collaborates with various experimental and rock groups. In addition to her performance career, she has over 15 years of teaching experience, not just teaching bassoon but also offering improvisation workshops in Louisville and coaching the Beginner Group with the Louisville Leopard Percussionists.
