Water By Women is a nonprofit organization based in Louisville, Kentucky. Founded in 2011, the organization’s mission is to empower mothers and young women as “Water Women” to deliver sustainable, lifelong clean drinking water to their families and communities where traditional water infrastructure does not exist or is unsustainable. Since 2008, the program has equipped 239,174 Water Women across 48 countries, including Haiti, the Philippines, Senegal, South Sudan, Syria, Zimbabwe, and disaster-relief efforts in domestic regions like Appalachia.
