45 MINUTES · INTERACTIVE · LIMITED TO 30–50 PARTICIPANTS
What happens when we meet anger and aversion with compassion?
Attendees with a full festival pass or daypass are given priority to select workshops at no additional cost. The workshops will then be free and open to all others on a first come, first serve basis.

Dr. Rima Vesely-Flad guides participants through compassion practices that begin with offering loving-kindness to oneself and gradually extend toward people with whom we experience conflict.
The practice begins by cultivating a sense of inner safety and security, creating a foundation from which participants can encounter more difficult emotions and relationships.
Together, the group will explore how the energy of aversion—hurt, anger and even hatred—might be transformed into greater stability and compassion.
The thing is to stalk your calling in a certain skilled and supple way, to locate the most tender and live spot and plug into that pulse. This is yielding, not fighting.
