45 MINUTES · INTERACTIVE · LIMITED TO 30–50 PARTICIPANTS
What can the body teach us about courage?
Attendees with a full festival pass or daypass are given priority to select workshops at no additional cost. The workshops will then be free and open to all others on a first come, first serve basis.

Courage takes its name from the heart. Sacred shares a linguistic connection in this workshop’s framing with the sacrum, the bone at the base of the spine. Above it, the sternum protects the heart.
Between these two points, Maria Whitley invites participants into an embodied exploration of how we meet the world.
Using the sacrum and sternum as touchstones, participants will work with breath, gentle guided movement and conscious sensation to explore courage, grounding and embodied presence.
Good to know: No dance or movement experience is needed. All bodies, ages and traditions are welcome. Movement may be practiced standing or seated and adapted to your body.
Attention is the beginning of devotion.
